I tell them all the time how much I love long hair and how beautiful it is. I let them buy whatever creams and conditioners they want, and love to help them brush it etc. And both my first wife and my current wife chopped theirs off when we got home from the honeymoon.

You know what, you're so right! The second my husband and I got married I got my hair cut really short. I wound up hating it and he preferred it long so I'm now growing it out again. I don't know why women do it but it's definitely happening. The thing is, as women age they tend to look better with shorter hairstyles. For me, I feel more confident when my hair is long and flowing. And PS I'm 29 - I don't think that's considered "too old" yet.
