In today's society, I don't know if you can really say that more lesbians have short hair than bi or straight women. I'd say that the older women get, it seems the shorter their hair gets, but I don't really think you can define that trend by sexuality.

In general though, I expect it's for ease of prep in the morning, less time needed to get ready for bed, and less hair dye to be used if you dye your hair. I used to have hair halfway down my back, now it's just below my shoulders, and straightening it no longer takes 3 hours, thank heaven!

Probably because, as many have already said, they like it short. I'm gay and my hair's just about shoulder length, give or take. One's sexuality isn't defined by the type of haircut he/she has. Some lesbians have boycuts, others have short hair cut in a girly sort of style, and still others have their hair half down their back! The same can be said of staright women.

It's all a matter of preference. Also, for more butch lesbians, I suppose it further separates them from women, in a way. My neighbors are lesbians, and one's a butch with a boycut, and the other is just herself with shoulder-length hair, y'know? It varies with different people.

A. my boyfriend loves it (so obviously some guys like short hair which means you're wrong.)

B. i would shave my hair all off if i wanted to, because it's my freaking hair and no one elses. and I don't care what ANYONE thinks, not just guys.

you're really sad if you really believe that what other think about you should be a deciding factor in your style.

I've learned not to go have it recut,not even by someone else,they always seem to make it allot worse even when it was fixable. I work with the bad cut and the hair I have left. I never like it,but you just have to deal with it until it grows out. Wear it up,curl it to blend in uneven layers ,wear scarves,it might not be something you would normally do,but if it can get you through the bad cut,then do it. Hey,if you are a guy that's another story,you always have the option of cutting it all off and still look good.
