How does brad pitt get his short hair to stick out instead of laying down?

in the movie mr. and mrs. smith he has his hair fluffy looking and also the flame guy in fantastic four has it the same way. i'm wondering how i can pull this off because my hair lays flat when i get it cut that short. exactly how long is his hair and what does he use and do to keep it that way?

It could be several factors for this. It can be the shampoo u r using is not the right kind for your hair. It could also be attributed to your water pressure u have. U can also be using the wrong products that are too heavy for the kind of hair u have. Best thing is get to a hair stylist and ask them what products they know will help to get your hair the way u want.

They are more than likely using a wax finishing product in their hair. It can't be flat against the scalp short to get that particular effect....more than likely about 1/2 inch long or a bit longer. You can achieve that sort of stand-up look with that sort of product. Just put it in when your hair is semi-dry and work from the roots to the scalp.

His stylist does it, so youd have to ask them. Its definately something the celebs can get.

my hair sticks up when its short -- depends on the way it grows i guess. i have to use mousse in the front cause that part sticks down to my forhead -- try some bedhead mousse or an equivalent. mousse is good for making hair fluffy unless you have really thick hair. a good hairstylist can be all the difference too. They have people that get paid big money to make their hair look good.
