How do i get this hair style (mens)?

ive always just applied pomade in my hair and made it messy but I think i want to grow it out now. Right now its like a number 2 on the sides and fingerlenghts on the top. Basically it just a regular short hair cut. What should i do to grow it out? Do i need to get maintance cuts or just dont go to the hair styler for a long time? Should i be applying something to it while I grow it?

OK, well, that guy's hair is kind of a preppy-boy sleek cut, and that guy is probably doing a lot of maintenance to get it to look like that.

But most guys, just let it grow hippie-style. Just wash it daily (and use conditioner only if it is dry), and let it grow, man! Go natural, it's great!

you can keep doing the messy look for quite a while till it gets quite a bit longer, it depends on how neat of a person you are, if you always have to have your hair styled, next time you go get it cut tell them you want to let it grow, and just trimm it. plus hair grows faster when it is trimmed regularly. there are some conditioners that you can put on your hair to make it grow faster, but as a general rule, the more stuff you put in your hair the less healthy, but it depends

i got that hair. and i had exactly what you had. what you do is let you hair grow out for a while. ill look pretty bad at points, like sticking up and things like that (ill get better when it gets longer). but when it gets long enough, you can use a wax or mouse to put it down. or if you want the dry hair look you can wear a beanie to sleep or wet your hair and put it down. you wont need to cut your hair but if it starts getting to thick you should get it thinned by a pro. cool?
